Michael took our dog Mina for her walk on the Knavesmire , which is the York Racecourse, whatever the weather she gets her 2 long walks a day.
Today there is a very strong wind, bit of a gale they said on TV and also rain. There was therefore only one other person there walking her dog, other than Michael.
Michaels has seen her a few times walking her dog and talked with her a couple of times. She has Multiple Sclerosis and walks with a pair of elbow crutches, today in the wind and rain se was slow at taking one careful step at a time and getting thoroughly soaked by the time she got to er car.
Felt sorry for her struggling in the harsh wind, but when someone takes their dog for their walk in bad weather, it shows their devotion.
Theirs usually quite a few people walking their dogs there, today there was only this woman on elbow crutches and Michael.
We think it puts to shame a lot of the people that go there. They prefered to stay at home, where it was warm and dry, rather than walk their dogs, and there was nothing physically wrong with them.
Michael just phoned on his mobile to say he's waiting for Simon to come out of work, he's picking him up, and a Victorian looking lamp post has just gone over in the wind. http://www.yorkracecourse.co.uk/
